Canadian National Director Kelsey Templeman did – find out how a fun opportunity turned into a record-breaking business!
It was February of 2011 and Kelsey Templeman needed a change. She was going on seven years of working long hours as a financial advisor, where she experienced high stress and had very little freedom in her personal life. Although she loved the aspect of helping others in her career she needed to find a better way…then came the Pure Romance opportunity.
Kelsey had no idea what she was getting herself into at the time, but for some reason, her instincts insisted she say yes! From a hesitant new Partner who thought in-home parties might be fun, to a distinguished leader and business woman with a one-year goal to become a Million Dollar Team leader, this National Director knows a thing or two (or twenty) about success.
As she continues to lead the Canadian market with the love and support from her team and her customers, in 2017 Kelsey achieved record breaking Personal Retail Sales of $260,767 CAD. What’s next for Kelsey? We can’t wait to find out!
You’ve certainly grown a lot with your business. What has helped you achieve that growth?
Focus and support! I make it a priority to stay focused on my goals – both personal and business! Staying in my own lane and surrounding myself with a positive support system allows me to maintain that focus. Having supportive family, friends, and team members allows me to achieve my goals while dealing with multiple personal challenges and constant, inevitable changes! I am so thankful for them all.
What Are Your Top Two Business Tips?
First, stay a student! Whether it be World Conference, National Convention, or a bus tour – investing in these trainings has been an investment in myself and a huge reason for my personal and business growth. Second, never pre-judge! Ask everyone if they are interested in booking a party, learning more about the business, or what other products you can help them purchase. Every time we pre-judge, we are limiting opportunities for ourselves, and limiting the opportunity to change someone’s life!
What Inspires You?
Family and freedom! My family has always inspired me to be the best version of myself. My partner Chay and I have been together for eight years, and he has been a huge support in my business – along with our two dogs, our two-and-a-half-year-old son Kade, and baby number two on the way! Being able to be my own boss and a full-time mom all while having financial freedom and a clear, comfortable future is inspiring in itself! There are no limits to my success!
You have helped put Canada on the map! How do you feel now, looking back at your individual success and success of your team, The All Star Squad?
I am proud! I am proud of myself for pushing my limits even when I doubted my goals and thought they were “unrealistic” or “crazy.” I am incredibly proud of our team, The All Star Squad, for consistently supporting one other and pushing each other to be the best versions themselves – going above and beyond for one another every day. I am so proud we are able to represent Canada and be a part of incredible, growing Pure Romance!
