Change is in the air! Caramel apple cider, pumpkin pie, leaves falling as you hopelessly wander through a maze enjoying the sights and sounds of Fall.

The arrival of Fall means the arrival of sanity for many parents. Kids end their summer days and head back to school. Finally! After seemingly years of sending your children to camp, begging them to go outside, and dealing with endless energy, those kids are out of the house for eight hours of the day. While you’ll read many articles about getting your kids back in the school routine, this is not one of them. It’s time to focus on you and your sex life!

Here are some ways to get back into your sex routine:

Go to bed by a certain time

Getting the proper amount of sleep is extremely important. While we don’t necessarily need the 8-10 hours that kids should get, we need enough energy to get through a full day and extracurriculars in the bedroom. The moment the kids’ heads hit the pillows and they’re actually asleep (and not pretending until you leave), head to bed! This is your time to sleep, prepare for the next day, or have some fun of your own.

Pick out your clothes

Who wants to start out the day picking through a pile of clothes, trying to decide what to wear? You tell your kids to pick out their clothes. Lead by example! There’s nothing sexier than confidence. Pick out the outfit that makes you feel like you can conquer the world. If you want to go the extra mile, add some lingerie underneath to let your sexy self shine.

Get up 15 minutes early

Before the chaos of getting ready begins, set your alarm earlier for a morning delight. There’s no better way to start the day than with a little cardio in the bedroom! If you have a partner, surprise them or try a quiet toy. Make the best use of some peace and quiet to get your “O” moment.

Have a playlist

A great way to live in the moment is by having a playlist ready in the morning. Use one of ours or create one of your own. Get the morning started and your heart pumping with an upbeat song to start your day off strong! Then, switch the playlist to something a little more kid-friendly to get the entire family moving.

Reminder cards

“Pack lunches” or “Don’t forget homework” don’t have to be the only reminder messages in your life. Leave messages for your partner or yourself like, “Have a great day, sexy!” or “Looking forward to our bedtime routine ;)”. Get creative with where you hide them and what you write on them!

Get into a great routine for your kids and yourself. Hopefully, this back-to-school routine will spice up your mornings and nights.
