I started this business 9 years ago to purchase a car without my parents’ help, wanting to show them I was an independent college graduate. I had never been to a Pure Romance party – I didn’t even know what Pure Romance was! – until my sorority sister invited me to one. I was intrigued, so I attended.
I really enjoyed the party and while I sat there, I thought to myself, “Wow, this lady makes money doing this!” I was a recent graduate, was working a serving job, and just started my full-time career…so why not start a Pure Romance business as a side hustle? I hosted my own party first because I really wanted free products and a good time with my girlfriends. Then, I purchased my Kit at my party!
I am someone who always thinks about the future and what I need to do in order to achieve certain goals in my life. My ultimate goal was purchasing my first home within 5 years of starting my career. I knew with my full-time job, I wasn’t able to save enough to do so; and that’s where Pure Romance came into play! I started holding more Pure Romance parties, about 8-10 parties per month and was able to put 33% of my Pure Romance income into a savings account. That year, I saved over $16,000 in cash and put a hefty down payment on my first home!
I never thought a side hustle like Pure Romance, would give me the opportunities that it has given myself and my family. Everyone deserves a career they’re passionate about and have fun doing. Too often, I hear people talk about how they’re not happy with their current job or where they are in life. My question to them is, “Why are you still there?” I felt the same way at my past company, and I made a move. I love what I do and wouldn’t change a thing.
