Let’s heat things up this summer with a few fantastic date ideas so you can make the most of the sunny skies and longer daytime hours. But what do you want to do? The options may seem endless but here are a few ideas for everyone, whether you’re an adventurous or lowkey couple.

Get some live entertainment

Take advantage of all that sunlight by spending more time outside. Find an outdoor concert venue and rock out with your loved one or check with a local community center or park and see if they’re hosting any outdoor movie nights. Create fun memories together while enjoying entertainment in the summer air.

Explore the great outdoors

Stretch your legs with a nice walk in the park or hike on a local trail. Explore nature and take in all the sights and smells that you miss while spending a winter indoors. You can work up a sweat or take it slow. Just like in the bedroom, find what works best for you and your partner as you go on your outdoor adventure.

Take a day trip

Pick a city or town within a few hours of home and set out on an adventure! Nothing sets up romance like exploring the unknown. Check out local boutiques, learn about the town’s history, and discover something new. Get out of your comfort zone and maybe find a new place you love to visit.

Try an outdoor exercise class

A couple that works up a sweat together, stays together. Lucky for you, in the summer many communities hold exercise classes outside. Do some yoga (maybe try out goat yoga), get your heart racing with Pilates, or learn a sexy salsa. After this different type of “foreplay,” enjoy another heart-racing activity when you get home.

Go Stargazing

Who can forget the iconic scenes in “A Walk to Remember” when Landon and Jamie fell in love under the stars. Grab a blanket and your loved one for a magical night looking up at the sky. Astronomers say the best time to go is during the new moon, when the sky is darkest. See if you can identify the constellations or just enjoy the beauty of the moment. The choice is yours!

Go to a game

One way to guarantee you won’t strike out is with a trip to the ballpark. Get the classic game day snacks and enjoy the crowds and atmosphere. Just make sure your partner actually likes sports or else they’ll be calling “foul!”

Have a picnic

Pack up your picnic basket, a blanket, and some sparkling wine for a romantic feast. Do the food prep together and make things like fruit on skewers, mini sandwiches, and chips and dip. Set up in some shade and add pillows to your blanket to make it the perfect cuddle spot. Bring a game in case you’re looking for an activity after eating.

Get in the water

Whether you’re near an ocean, lake, or pool, take advantage of the hot temperatures and go for a dip! Relax in the water or play a game with your significant other. The options are endless when you’re having fun in the sun.

These are only eight options out of the millions that are out there. This summer, don’t be a couch potato. Find the activity that will bring you and your significant other closer than ever.
