It doesn’t get much better than getting your friends together for a night of fun and relaxation. It’s like the sleepovers that you would have in middle school, but with wine and better gossip. A good girls’ night can help you recharge after a long week and help you make unforgettable memories with your friends! But what makes a perfect girls’ night? Here are some essentials that will help you get ready!

Lots of Snacks

This is probably the most important aspect of any successful girls’ night. There is nothing worse than hanging out with your friends and realizing you are all hungry, but don’t have any food in the house. The key is having a variety of options that cover every craving possibility. Get some chips or pretzels to cover salty cravings, some chocolate to cover the sweet, some pizza to cover savory. Buffalo chicken dip is also a winner for your night in because you can have an array of things to dip with like celery, crackers, tortilla chips, carrots, etc. Long story short, have lots of snacks at the ready so you can graze while doing all your fun activities, savory, sweet, and it’s always nice to have a healthy option as well.

Drink of Choice

This is where you can get as simple or as creative as you want. You could go the simple route and get some bottles of wine. Or, you can add some fun and make a game out of it. Pick a theme and have each person make a cocktail that fits that theme. Some theme examples could be colors of the rainbow, favorite movie, or cocktails based on your jobs. These ideas also work if you don’t want any alcohol at the party. You and your friends can use this opportunity to show your personality and creativity!

Movie Marathon

A good movie marathon can make your experience even better. The best way to pick what movies you should add is to first decide what the vibe you’re going for. Are you going for heartfelt and sad? Watch “Someone Great” on Netflix. Traditional rom-coms? “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is the movie for you. Spicy romance movies? Check out “The Ugly Truth” with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. Looking for a classic friendship movie? Pile onto the couch and watch “Mean Girls.” These are all great options to start with and figure out what your movie marathon should look like.

Comfy Clothes

Leggings, sweatpants, and pajama pants are the only acceptable options for girls’ night. If you are going to be sitting on the couch talking about all the hot gossip while eating snacks, then you want to be as comfortable as possible. If you want to really go all out, you could get coordinating sweat sets or pajamas to take the night to the next level. This is not required though; any comfy clothes will suffice.

Self-Care

The relaxation element really comes into play here. Get all the self-care essentials that you can get your hands on. They have hydrating masks for everything, your hands, feet, lips, face, and hair. All of them can help create a relaxing and recharging experience. You can also get out all your nail polishes and do manicures and pedicures. Or work on getting your skin to glow with sunless tanner. This level of self-care combined with the movies and the drinks of your choice really finishes up your epic night on the right note.

Overall, your plans are completely customizable to you and your friend group. Are you and your friends more reality tv fans than movie fans? Then have a watch party for “The Bachelor” instead of having a movie marathon. Switch up the food and drinks for the crowd. The only true essential for the perfect girls’ night is getting your girlfriends together and making memories together.
